Huge congratulations to David Middleton who took over 1 million steps in May to raise funds for our work with traumatised children.

Devon-based David hiked, walked and ran 1,034,625 steps, many of them dressed as a giant parrot, to raise funds from his local community and beyond. His feats included a 42 km run around Torbay, and 25km through Dublin.

“It’s the same as doing two marathons and five half-marathons every week, to get the million steps in,” he explained. “It’s about 530 miles.

“But there is a serious side to this. Think about what these children are having to cope with. Almost half the world’s refugees are children. Over 50 million of them have no place to go to school – and a similar number have lost the homes and communities they grew up.

“So please take action to help them. If you can donate, it would be fantastic.”

David has raised £6,373 so far – and he’s still accepting donations.
