Training programme 2026
We provide training in the internationally recognised Teaching Recovery Techniques (TRT). These help children to overcome the effects of trauma and can be applied by specialists and non-specialists alike.
TRT is quick to learn, widely adaptable and inexpensive to implement. This makes it suitable for many post-crisis situations, such as humanitarian emergencies and mass casualty events, and also for public service providers such as local authority teams working with children, schools and families.

What do you want to learn?
Currently we offer three types of courses, which are open to individuals or representatives of organisations:
- TRT: 2-day course, covering the fundamentals of TRT.
- Plus Parenting: 1-day additional course for those supporting the parents of trauma-affected children, open to those who have already attended the TRT course.
- Children and Grief: 2-4 day course, for those working with traumatically bereaved children, duration depending on whether you have previously attended the TRT course.
Sessions are taught online and in English unless otherwise stated. They are usually attended by groups of up to 20 adults. Afterwards you are welcome to cascade the manuals and trainings to others who can use them well.
We can also create tailor-made trainings for specific organisations to suit their context and requirements.
“Thank you so much for the wonderful training experience last week. The trainers were both brilliant – so knowledgeable and passionate. This has really brought so much optimism to me.”
