Ukrainian children in the UK have been donated trauma recovery materials including Rucksack, a picture book about a family recovering from war.
Please consider Children and War UK, a small charity devoted to helping children whose lives have been turned upside down by wars and other disasters – by the conflict in Ukraine, the Grenfell fire in London, earthquakes in Turkey or war in Gaza and Israel…
We bring hope to these fragile youngsters with our globally respected trauma recovery techniques – and you can support this life-changing work by raising funds for us.
We’d love to work with your school community to raise funds and promote trauma healing. Whether through sponsored events or guest talks or any of your other charity activities, we’d be thrilled to discuss how to work together.
1.5 million people were left homeless when earthquakes struck Turkey in 2023. For children in affected areas, we trained a local taskforce in our trauma recovery techniques and produced a Turkish-language version of our recovery workbooks.
Teaching about children's lives
Raising funds for us will transform children’s lives in the UK and overseas.
And it can also be used to teach your children – about mental health and resilience, about global events, the importance of children’s rights and the lives behind the headlines.
We’d be happy to help you raise awareness of these issues, and in some cases we may be able provide guest speakers who are psychologists working in the UK with children who have overcome traumatic events and learned to believe in the future again.
