We are now taking bookings for our next training course in Teaching Recovery Techniques, which will take place online on 22 – 23 February 2024.

Teaching Recovery Techniques (TRT) is an effective tool of psychological self-help for people experiencing the traumatic consequences of wars or disasters. It uses evidence-based techniques to reach groups of children through a cascade model. It can be used by adults and local community members, as well as by mental health professionals. Read more about TRT.

The February 2024 course is for individuals who want to run groups or train others to run groups, or who are looking for a taster session on behalf of a larger organisation. (For larger organisations, charities and services, we can arrange bespoke training on request.)

  • This course will consist of 4 interactive sessions on Zoom, each lasting 3 hours.
  • They will be held between 9am and 4pm London time, on 22 – 23 February 2024.
  • A background in mental health is not necessary.
  • Experience in working with young people is helpful.

Places cost £200 per person and a total of 20 places are available.

What we do makes a difference

Now more than ever, children need help to cope with the trauma they're experiencing.

Children and War UK is working to give them essential tools to reduce the long-term effects of traumatic stress.

Thank you.
